Kurapika

Kurapika (クラピカ) is a character from the immensely popular manga and anime series Hunter x Hunter by Yoshihiro Togashi.

This is Kurapika. He's a black-haired young man wearing amber robes, has chains wrapped around both his arms and legs, as well as any other parts of his body that he deems necessary to utilize them. Kurapika is an incredibly powerful warrior from a special clan of hitmen called the Kurta that, in order to protect themselves against discrimination and persecution from others for their ability to use their eyes like weapons (in other words: without sending off any aura), took extreme measures by infusing their own bodies with scarlet-colored gemstones called Scarlet Eyes. These stones give them incredible abilities such as allowing them to see in the dark or spot lies among other things but they come at a cost since the Kuruta clan members are defenseless against all other forces.

Once their eyes turn scarlet, they lose their ability to see emotions and become incredibly aggressive as a result due to being able to feel absolutely nothing when looking at others; this makes Kurapika's social skills almost non-existent in the beginning of his story but he slowly learns how to use them again thanks to meeting Gon, Leorio and Killua.
