One of the thugs gets infected while confronting Venom causing him to attack the other goons as well. Eddie flees with a wounded Drake to the Boneyard, Riz Ahmed's character's hideout. While there, Eddie comes into contact with Venom again and tries unsuccessfully to resist his urges while conversing with his symbiote.

The second Venom trailer was released on May 14th 2018. It has since surpassed 214 million views in two weeks and is being praised by fans alike for Tom Hardy's performance, the movie itself looks like it will be very gritty and intense which is something Marvel fans are used to now after Spider-Man: Homecoming established that tone. In this trailer we see that Eddie Brock/Venom had been held captive by Carlton Drake played by Riz Ahmed where he experiments on humans and animals using extraterrestrial technology. Eddie is freed by Anne Weying played by Michelle Williams where she makes him a deal to help her get close to Carlton Drake, who is revealed to be doing these experiments not for the benefit of humanity but for his own profits.
