Blade Runner 2049 Coat For MenBlade Runner 2049 Coat For MenBlade-Runner is a sequel to the original Blade Runner movie. The main character, K (Ryan Gosling) has a coat made of very special fabric that was designed for use in cold weather. This coat will keep you warm and dry while making it look like you are wearing something from the future!
\r\nThe original film came out in 1982, which means Blade Runner has existed for 1/10th of my life so far (I'm 23). The movie was very well received back in its day but, as happens with lots of movies 15+ years old, its popularity dwindled until it became an obscure cult classic that only fans really cared about. Then, in 2012, director Ridley Scott (of Alien fame) decided to re-release an \"Final Cut\" of the film that was better than what had previously existed. This brought a whole new generation of people back into the fold and represented a massive resurgence for Blade Runner's popularity.
\r\n\r\n\r\nRyan Thomas Gosling (born November 12, 1980) is a Canadian actor and musician. He began his career as a child star on the Disney Channel's Mickey Mouse Club and went on to appear in other family entertainment programs including Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Goosebumps, and The Neverending Story III. His first starring film role was as a Jewish neo-Nazi in The Believer (2001), and he became better known after his starring roles in teen movies, including The Notebook (2004).

\r\n He is a replicant himself and has been tasked with hunting down older models that have gone rogue. The movie takes place in Los Angeles, California in the year 2019. This is the film's first 30 minutes and establishes what LA looks like to help the viewer understand how different it would be as compared to today's version of LA.

\r\n\r\nAs you can see from my photo above, this city definitely needs some innovation in terms of transportation infrastructure. If you remember back to Blade Runner, there were flying cars present throughout the skyline; however, I could not find any evidence of them still existing today (or maybe they were just tucked away for privacy reasons).

The scene that blew me away more than anything else happened when Ryan Gosling was driving in his futuristic car. He had pulled over a vehicle belonging to someone who was deemed suspect by the police main computer, so a squad of police gave chase to Gosling's character.
The vehicles followed Gosling and boxed him into an alleyway where they believed he would be forced to surrender. The vehicles proceeded to close on Ryan Gosling with their weapons armed and ready for action; however, this did not happen because Ryan Gosling's car was actually a gigantic robot (pictured below). It turns out that while all these cars looked exactly like normal versions of themselves, in reality they were just small robots that could fit into your pocket, but they controlled gigantic cars with weapons attached (that look just like them).

This is actually a very feasible concept when you consider that there are already many things in existence today that allows us to shrink things down so small, it's as if they weren't even there. For example, a couple years ago I was working on a project with the nano-drones research center at Arizona State University. They were able to shrink down an entire drone into something like the size of your fingernail; this allowed them to attach these drones onto miniature insects in order to track their movements (for science!).
