Devil May Cry 5 is the potential of a good game. There were some things that should have been fixed before release but Capcom, fortunately, patched it after release. Devil may cry 5 has a number of infuriating design decisions that are inconsistent with what made the series so beloved in the first place, though. I hope we get another DMC game in the future that fixes these issues and remains true to its roots.
The Devil May Cry series is known for its hard-hitting action and empowering story. Here's a look at the fifth installment, which just released!
This volume has everything a Devil Hunter should expect from an action game. Split into two volumes, the first one contains missions 1-5, along with an artbook featuring characters and backgrounds from the series! The second features the rest of the breathtaking artwork, as well as intro and outro settings to the series. This edition is perfect for fans of this game or manga enthusiasts in general.
The new volume includes some character designs that were not featured earlier in issue 2/3 (Shade & Johnny), so be sure to check it out on pixiv or our store if you want to see more styles from these guys!
Dante can be unlocked as a playable character in Devil May Cry 5. Dante is designed with his game's combat mechanics, including his melee attacks and skills.
Dante's design is unique in that unlike the other playable characters in DmC, Dante retains his classic outfit and hair color instead of a new look. The VFX team stated that they were unable to change Dante's appearance due to having used him for numerous videos and promotional material already.
Dante wields Rebellion with an additional broad blade attached to its tip called Plume of Prometheus (Profound Peril: プロフィート・ペリス=プロメテウス Purufōto Perisu = Prometeusu), which he uses as a melee weapon to swipe at enemies in addition to firing shots from Rebellion itself. He also has access too Ebony & Ivory, Scheherazade and Kalina Ann which return from previous games. All of Dante's firearms can be used as a melee weapon, including the new Protega Gauntlets which allow him to use any of his firearms while blocking.
It is possible to mix and match Dante's weapons into different sets; there are three default loadouts (see below) but it is possible for players to modify these arrangments as much as they like.
