Flash is a DC Comics superhero. He has the ability to move at superhuman speed.
The Flash is an American television series developed by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Geoff Johns. The show is based on the DC Comics character Barry Allen / Flash.

The series follows Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) as he moves to Central City after a particle accelerator causes an explosion that left parts of the city devastated. His mother is killed in the explosion so he heads there to find out who did this to him. He arrives in town just in time to see a man who goes by the name of Reverse Flash trying to kill another man but he's fended off. He discovers that his name is Dr. Harrison Wells and he owns a company called S.T.A.R. Labs which was the entity that had created the particle accelerator. He befriends S.T.A.R.'s head of biology Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) and Dr. Martin Stein (guest star Victor Garber). Barry Allen is threatened by Detective Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett), who in reality is a time remnant of Dr. Harrison Wells, as he kills his mentor Ronnie Raymond, otherwise known as Firestorm, during a failed particle accelerator experiment orchestrated by Eobard Thawne aka Reverse Flash (Tom Cavanagh), another speedster who killed Nora Allen fifteen years prior to the series' events for being "incompatible" with her circumstances in life, thus disrupting time. On a later attempt to recreate the event, Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) becomes Firestorm and is forced to merge with Ronnie's consciousness inside of him in order to stop Dr. Wells from destroying the city.

The series was announced after successful comic book show Arrow aired on The CW. It is based on Barry Allen, which has featured in DC Comics publications as both superhero and scientist since 1956. He works for S.T.A.R Labs, where his mother's accident took place during an experiment that gave her super-speed when she was struck by lightning years earlier, using this power so it can be harnessed into abilities—much like those of the Flash himself—to fight crime and other meta-humans, as well as those who were affected by the particle accelerator explosion—which included turning Caitlin Snow into a weather manipulator after she became part of an accident that could have killed her. The series was picked up in May 2014, for a first season set to premiere on October 7, 2014. On April 2, 2015, The CW renewed the show for a second season with an order of 13 episodes.

The flash costume is really hard to make with the materials and equipment that are available. It was frustrating at first. I had to use a bunch of different tools and materials and every time I thought it was done, I noticed something else wrong with it. It took hours just to come up with the design, but in the end it turned out perfect. Overall, it was a great experience to make the reverse flash costume because now I know how much of an art project it is. I was able to learn about the techniques and materials it takes to craft everything. I'm looking forward to wearing my new costume!
